Snow Delay

Hi Abby and Classmates

Unfortunately, we have been unable to take Flat Stanley anywhere for the last week as we have been hit by some severe weather.
In England, we do not really get much snow but have had nearly a foot which has caused major disruptions.
I could not go to university all last week!!! And Sarah was could not get to work either.
Anyway, the weather is getting better so we have made some plans for this week.
On Thursday, I will be taking Flat Stanley to uni with me for a lecture.
Friday he is coming with us to a birthday celebration. We are going into Leicester on the bus, then out for a meal at La Tasca - which is a Spanish tapas restaurant. We will probably get a taxi home so he can have a ride in a London black cab.
On Saturday, we are going to take him to the Guildhall and around town for the day. Afterwards, we are going for an Italian meal and may take him dancing to a disco.
So will keep you posted.

Journey taken by Flat Stanley

Flat Stanley has a rest on the settee

Hi
After all of the travelling , Flat Stanley needed to have a rest on the settee.
I have to go to university tommorow for lectures, so I dont think we will be going anywhere until the week end.
His journey to come and stay with me was a total of 5879 kilometers or 3653 miles.
I have put a picture of a map of his journey.

Flat Stanley meets the dogs

Flat Stanley met the dogs today and they seemed to get on pretty well.
Although , I secretly think Jake thought he looked good enough to eat but dont worry , I will make sure that he doesnt get chance.

Flat Stanley has arrived in the United Kingdom !!!

Dear Abby and 2nd Graders at Newton Falls Elementary School,

Flat Stanley arrived this morning with the post and I would be honoured to be a host family to him!!
I have set up a blog (you will know that if you are reading this)so I can record all the adventures I take him on, during his brief visit here in the UK.
I will also post you all of the photos that we take as well as putting them on this site.
